Bloomberg Adds Ripple, Ethereum, and Litecoin to Terminal

Bloomberg has added three new cryptocurrencies to join Bitcoin on their terminal.  Litecoin, Ethereum, and Ripple are now available via their Terminal service.  Recent partnering with the Luxembourg exchange Bitstamp will help increase mainstream adoption amongst forex traders who are seeking to explore cryptocurrencies.  Bloomberg was an early adapter and opened up Bitcoin prices in April of 2014.  The move to acquire new altcoins most likely stems from recent spikes in Bitcoin prices and mainstream media coverage.

Bloomberg declined to comment on the decision to add the new alt-currencies to the terminal, but a person familiar with the company said they were added as a feature for foreign-exchange traders.

Ethereum’s surge has seen all time high prices soaring over $700 USD.  Litecoin and Ripple’s XRP token have also increased rapidly and have hit their all time highs this week.  The adaptation of altcoins will definitely cause market growth and familiarize non-crypto civilians of other coins besides Bitcoins.  2018 should be a very interesting year with surging altcoins and innovative blockchain applicable products.
