In an article by businesskorea.co.kr, KMP Health Care Seoul has recently announced that the hospital would allow customers to pay for medical services in cryptocurrency. KMP Health Care is located in Jamsil, Seoul and provides outpatient treatment services, premium VIP health check-ups, stem cell treatment, and skin cosmetic surgery.
“With the aim of introducing medical services to patients of various classes and overseas patients by utilizing the latest blockchain technology, KMP Health Care Seoul has built a system to take LCGCs (Life Care Global Coins issued by GCM) instead of cash.” – KMP Health Care Seoul
The clinic will not be accepting all cryptocurrencies as they are using their own coin, the Life Care Global Coins (LCGC). Much like other crypto, users will need to join the LCGC exchange, Coingenes, where they can create electronic wallets and transfer their funds into LCGC.
In order to solve the problem of delays when it comes to P2P transactions of cryptocurrencies, KMP Health Care decided to accept transactions through electronic wallets at the exchange that deals with LCGCs only for the time being.
“We plan to continue expanding our services and technology platform to enable many people in Korea to enjoy excellent medical services and help overseas patients easily access Korean medical services.”
